How to enable Email Integration with Gmail
- The Wavity platform provides email integration functionality, allowing for the automatic generation of requests within the platform through email. This occurs subsequent to the sending of an integrated email, based on configured conditions.
Set up App password from Gmail:
- To enable email integration with Gmail Account, you need to get APP Password to avoid hassle-free email integration with Wavity.
- Please log in to your Gmail account using your credentials. Click on “Manage your Google Account”
- Select ‘Security’ as shown in below image to set up “2 step Verification” incase if you haven’t done it before.
- Click on “Turn on 2-step verification”.
- Enter your contact number and click on “Next” button.
- You will receive a code in your phone number. Enter the code and click on verify.
- Type “App Password” in the search bar. Click on “App passwords” from the dropdown as shown in below image.
- Enter the app name as ‘Wavity Gmail integration’ for reference and click on “Create” button.
- Generated App password will be displayed. Copy the password as it will be required while setting up Gmail integration with Wavity. Please make sure to avoid empty spaces while copying the password.
Enable Gmail Integration in Wavity
- Only Admin of your company can setup or enable Gmail Integration. Click on Profile > Integrations.
- Click on “Create” button in email section of the Integrations page as shown in below image.
- Under name & description, you can mention the email integration name and any further details under description for reference.
- Click on ‘Other’ as type of integration
- You can also enable the type of integration required such as inbound or outbound or both.
- Under Email server configuration, enter details such as SMTP Server Name, SMTP Port, IMAP Server Name & IMAP Port as shown in below image.
- Enter the Gmail ID which you want to integrate with Wavity Platform. Also, Enter the “App Password” which you had generated earlier from your Google account. Please make sure to avoid spaces while entering password.
- Click on “Save” button to complete the process of linking your Gmail account with Wavity.
- As shown in below image, Gmail Integration with Wavity Platform is completed.
